Find All ⇧⌘F (shift-cmd-A) will find all items
You can also perform more complex searches. Selecting Advanced Find ⌥⌘F (cmd+alt+F) enters advanced find mode where you can use wildcards and other operators to refine your searches.
One useful method of searching is to search for alike items. Control-click in any field and select Find Matching Records from the menu to find similar items. You can use this feature to find all computers in the same department or all iMacs for example.
The search field also contains a saved searches menu, where you can store common search terms, such as 'faulty' or 'laptop'. This menu comes loaded with useful search terms, but you can add your own.
